Tackling the complex and critical challenges facing the United States health care system requires visionary leaders who combine knowledge and experience in the practice of medicine with the public leadership and policy analysis skills needed to drive change at the system level.

The Jerome H. Grossman M.D. Graduate Fellowship, made possible by a generous gift from the Grossman Family, honors the life and legacy of Dr. Grossman, who dedicated his career to strengthening health care delivery in the United States.

The Fellowship supports talented physicians who share Dr. Grossman’s commitment and sense of urgency to bring meaningful change to the health care system by enabling them to pursue a two-year master’s degree in public policy or public administration (MPP or MPA2) at Harvard Kennedy School.

The Grossmans' generosity has benefited me more than I could have ever imagined. I learned that it truly is possible to conduct policy work while maintaining a clinical practice. The gratitude I feel to them continues to fuel my sense of purpose.

-Franco Pillsbury, MPP '18, MD '20 USC
