M-RCBG offers many ways for students to engage. It supports the Business and Government PIC, one of the largest student clubs on campus. The center’s senior fellows serve as a resource for students, offering study groups and career advice.

Post-Doctoral Fellowship

Area: Health Care Markets, Policy, and Regulation

Position Description:
We are inviting applications for a postdoctoral fellowship position. The prospective postdoctoral fellow will work with faculty and students conducting research on health care markets, policy and regulation.  During the one or two-year fellowship, the fellow will work with faculty on ongoing research focused on a range of issues including insurance markets, drug pricing, provider pricing, vertical integration of healthcare organizations, and regulation of health care markets. The fellow will also have time for their own complementary research, and we will facilitate access to our data sources in support of their research. The fellow will be supervised by Professor Leemore Dafny.

Appointment to begin July 1, 2023, renewable for a second year based on mutual agreement.

Requirements:
Successful candidates should have a well-demonstrated interest in applied microeconomic research; strong communication skills; have completed their PhD in economics, public policy or a closely related field by the appointment start date; and not be more than five years removed from obtaining their PhD. Applicants are expected to have strong analytical and programming skills, and preferably have completed graduate industrial organization courses in an Economics department. The salary is competitive and comes with a benefits package.

Business & Government Professional Interest Council
B&G PIC leaders work with center staff to identify speakers they would like to bring to the school and organize events on research topics of particular interest to students.

Senior Fellow-Led Study Groups
M-RCBG Senior Fellows hold study groups to discuss their areas of expertise and research projects with students.

Speed Networking and Other Career Events
The center organizes a "speed networking" session each fall in which students meet with senior fellows to share strategies and contacts for careers at the interface of business and government. The fall  2021 event took place in person on September 22.
