As part of our core mission, the Taubman Center is committed to accelerating improved economic development across the United States. A key component of that work involves developing future economic development leaders from diverse backgrounds by creating pathways for them to leadership roles in economic development.
This year, the Taubman Center is pleased to join with the City of San Antonio to offer an inaugural post-graduate fellowship for a recent Harvard Kennedy School graduate to work full-time as a member of the City’s economic development team. This pilot program will place a recent HKS alum for a one-year, paid fellowship with a highly competitive salary of $100,000 and benefits. The fellow will be employed by the City of San Antonio and must be willing to relocate there for the fellowship.
This position will be responsible for interpreting, formulating, and implementing policies and procedures at the direction of the City Economic Development Department’s leadership team to include budget and financial operations, development, implementation and oversight of economic development strategies, coordination and collaboration with community economic development partners, and development of polices and guidelines. To learn more about the position, the Department, and the benefits, please see the City of San Antonio’s job description.
HKS students graduating in May 2023 and HKS alumni from all degree programs (including joint degree programs) who graduated in 2018 or more recently may apply.
The application for this fellowship will open soon.
